Customized buses are being assembled in the workshop of Chery & Wanda Guizhou Bus Co (Chery & Wanda) at Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone with a daily production capacity of six units.
The company is expediting the production of 150 buses for domestic orders, primarily destined for Anhui, Zhejiang, and Guangdong provinces, with delivery scheduled by the end of May. Meanwhile, it is also advancing a customized bus project for Nepal, optimizing vehicle designs to meet the region's high-altitude, mountainous environment.

Chery & Wanda has utilized a customized R&D model to expand into overseas markets, increasing the number of export countries from two to over 20 within just three years. In the first quarter of 2026, the company achieved a total output value of 330 million yuan ($46 million), with overseas orders accounting for 80 percent.
The company previously shipped 400 customized buses to Saudi Arabia, setting a record for single-order exports. For the second quarter of 2026, the company has already secured 350 orders, including 150 for the domestic market and 200 for overseas markets.
The enterprise holds full production qualifications for electric, hybrid, and hydrogen fuel cell buses. Since 2023, its focus has shifted toward international markets, with an annual R&D investment of at least 30 million yuan. It has also established a rapid R&D system for customization to meet the needs of diverse countries and regions, with plans to export 1,000 buses by 2026.
