Guiyang Chenguang Biotech Group Co (Guiyang CCGB) is a high-tech enterprise specializing in processing agricultural products, particularly Sichuan pepper. The company primarily focuses on the research, development, and production of extracts from Sichuan pepper, ginger, and other spices.
It established a presence in the Xiaomeng Industrial Park of Guiyang Economic Technology and Development Zone (GETDZ) in 2019, completed construction of its factory, and commenced production in 2022. Today, Guiyang CCGB's flagship products account for 60 percent of the national market share.
Government support and assistance are essential for a business to thrive. At the outset of the factory's construction, the GETDZ government supported the company by building new roads and upgrading infrastructure to accelerate the project. To meet the company's electricity demands, GETDZ coordinated with the power supply department to enhance electrical facilities by upgrading and expanding the power grid and installing new transformer equipment.
While government support provides a solid foundation for businesses to take root and grow, the ultimate scale of development still depends on the company's own capabilities. Since establishing its factory, Guiyang CGGB has invested 40 million yuan ($5.83 million) in developing supercritical extraction equipment and has built the largest supercritical spice extraction production line in China.

Guiyang CCGB supercritical extraction system has overcome key technical challenges, including the automatic loading and unloading of solid materials and the implementation of self-sealing mechanisms. It has achieved a high level of automation, intelligence, and informatization throughout the extraction process.
Guiyang CCGB utilizes technology to transform traditional seasoning production. Its supercritical extraction process produces purer Sichuan pepper oil while significantly reducing pesticide residues and plasticizers. This ensures the products meet safety standards while maximizing the retention of active ingredients, achieving consistent quality control.
The company yields 2 metric tons of high-concentration pepper oil. Its primary target market is in the southwestern region, but Guyang CCGB's distribution network now extends nationwide.
