A total of 120 projects were recently awarded the Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Awards by the Guizhou People's Government, including 16 projects from the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ).
The awards, established by the provincial government, are granted once a year in the following five categories: the highest scientific and technological award, the natural science award, technological invention award, the scientific and technological progress award, and the scientific and technological cooperation award.
Since 2016, the GETDZ's projects have won a total of 64 such awards.
In recent years, the GETDZ has been creating a more favorable environment for scientific and technological innovation, promoting university-enterprise cooperation, increasing project research and development, and implementing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
In July 2022, the GETDZ embarked on a strategic cooperation in scientific and technological innovation with Guizhou University, providing a solid platform for university-enterprise cooperation for companies in the zone.
Among the 16 awarded projects, seven were jointly applied by companies and Guizhou University.
