In 2022, the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, promoted the high-quality development of talent work.
Thanks to a series of talent introduction activities, five high-level innovative and entrepreneurial teams, 167 high-level talents in urgent need, 2,213 new manufacturing industry talents, and 752 big data talents, have started working in GETDZ.
GETDZ has supported and encouraged vocational colleges, enterprises, and social training institutions to carry out skills improvement to improve innovation and entrepreneurship among talent.
Last year, GETDZ organized various vocational skills training sessions for 283 people and entrepreneurial guidance training sessions for 3,603 people.
In addition, one national-level platform carrier and two provincial-level platform carriers were added throughout the year, and the first group of eight expert studios was selected and received 800,000 yuan ($116,702.2) for their establishment.
Meanwhile, talent services have been optimized to bring a sense of happiness and belonging to the talent in the area.
In 2022, GETDZ applied for talent service green cards for 39 talents, accepted 102 applications for talent settlement allowances, living allowances, and headhunting subsidies, and spent more than 16 million yuan in special funds for talent development.
In addition, the construction of housing projects for talent has been promoted to establish a talent housing security mechanism. The 970 housing units built in 2022 are currently undergoing their final inspection.
