Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has stepped up development of digital economy to foster new growth drivers and promote the city's high-quality economic growth.
Internet-related services, software and information technology services in the development zone achieved a revenue of 572 million yuan ($83.3 million) last year, pushing forward the in-depth integration of big data with 30 real economy enterprises.
In 2022, the development zone introduced 27 emerging digital economy projects, two major digital enterprises and 10 enterprises developing new-generation information technology.
Aiming to boost high-quality development, the zone takes the digital economy as the main approach and vigorously promotes digital industrialization, industrial digitization, digital governance and new digital infrastructure while advancing the construction of a big data security shield.
It strives to seize new opportunities in the implementation of digital economic strategy to enable it to become a national first-class big data security industry cluster and an innovation and talent center for the big data security industry, providing strong support for the city's high-quality socio-economic development.
Relying on the construction of the big data security industry demonstration zone, the development zone has consistently gathered big data security enterprises. To date, it has formed three major industrial clusters – big data security software and hardware enterprises represented by Fengtai Technology, Wings Cloud, and Focused Photonics Inc, security service enterprises represented by The 360 Security Group, Zhiyou Network Security and QAX, a leader in cyber security industry, and big data security industry application enterprises represented by Safe Code. In this way, the development zone has created a complete industrial chain involving software, hardware and services with a focus on big data security.
To date, the development zone has introduced 62 big data security enterprises and its influence is continuing to expand.
