Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), a national development zone in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been pursuing green development in recent years amid the nation's efforts to build an ecological civilization, with the air quality of the zone recorded as "good" according to the country's standards throughout the year.

As the only national eco-industrial demonstration park in the province, GETDZ has actively practiced the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", adhered to green development and taken active measures to transform its economic growth model.
Centering around the evaluation indicators of becoming an eco-industrial demonstration park, the development zone formulated and adopted an implementation plan for achieving peak carbon emissions and carbon neutrality and a plan for environmental impact assessment of the industrial cluster in the zone, and further made clear the green development indicator system of the industrial park, using them to guide the development of the industrial park.
In addition to taking steps to raise the air quality, the development zone also adopted targeted measures to improve the quality of water.
It also maintains a cautious and rigorous attitude when introducing industrial investment projects. While focusing on attracting investments, the development zone declined projects with high pollution and high energy consumption. By introducing a number of green "smart manufacturing" projects, it accelerated the formation of a high-end, intensive and green industrial system, becoming a leading demonstration zone for the green development of Guiyang's industry.
