Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, Southwest China's Guizhou province has successfully brought in 24 projects that have moved into its standardized workshops, with a total usable area of 63,600 square meters.
The 24 projects focus on electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, biomedicine and food processing, involve 2.17 billion yuan ($299.03 million) in investment, and are expected to generate an annual output of about 4 billion yuan.
Building standardized workshops has become one of the most effective ways to attract business. This year, GETDZ has set up a special business promotion team, helping firms move into the standardized workshops, introducing upstream and downstream enterprises, and solving problems related to site selection, water, gas and power supply for companies.
"With workshops already established, firms will be more likely to launch projects when they find out everything is ready except for special equipment," said an official at the zone's investment promotion bureau.
