In the first half of this year, the science and technology and entrepreneurship service center of the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) implemented 13.89 million yuan ($2.07 million) in guaranteed loans for entrepreneurship through policy guidance, completing 77.17 percent of city-level and district-level annual goals.
GETDZ is located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The center provided 13.89 million yuan in bank loans to eight small and micro-sized enterprises with discounted interest for start-up guaranteed loans.
As a result, these enterprises were able to hire 50 support staff members, including 36 college graduates and 14 unemployed people.
More than 70 enterprises have been informed of policies such as guaranteed loans for entrepreneurship and GETDZ's 10 measures for scientific and technological innovation, and more than 100 publicity materials have been distributed.
In addition, the center has strengthened cooperation with banks and financial institutions to help companies apply for entrepreneurship guaranteed loan discounts.
Moving forward, the center will provide entrepreneurship guaranteed loans, drive employment through entrepreneurship and innovation, and support entrepreneurship and innovation.
