The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is taking the opportunity brought about by the installation of new digital infrastructure to accelerate the development of intelligent residential communities.

The Nanshan Gaodi residential community is one of them.
"In the process of the intelligent transformation, we have developed the 'Anju Jingkai' client and all information on households, relatives and friends is entered into the system in advance," said Le Wei, general manager of Guiyang Suofei Yunzhi Technology Co, which is responsible for the intelligent development of the community.

Digitalization and cameras have replaced the security guards, and community monitoring has been connected to the public security department.
For registered senior citizens, the platform has set up a database called "care personnel" which records information about elderly people in the community. If it is detected that they have not entered or exited the community for three days, the property will be notified to check the situation out.
The neighborhood center of the community has also added 24-hour self-service medicine vending machines, unmanned vending machines, all-in-one government affairs machines and self-service charging equipment.
To date, the GETDZ has completed the digital transformation of 55 old communities, creating a number of characteristic, scalable and replicable smart communities.
