The Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) has been focusing on key industries such as the digital economy and digital application scenarios to accelerate the upgrading of its electronic information manufacturing industrial chains.

In the first quarter of this year, GETDZ's electronic information manufacturing industry is expected to achieve a total industrial output value of 3.66 billion yuan ($544.15 million).
"Last year, our products served more than 300 large and medium-sized engineering and industrial projects across the country, and the market growth rate remained first in the province," said Li Yanlei, executive deputy general manager of Guizhou Guicai Innovation Technology Co, based in GETDZ.
In 2021, after launching the big data intelligent manufacturing cloud platform for its precious material smart factory, the company's production efficiency increased by 30 percent, and its yield of aluminum profiles increased to 95 percent.

Another GETDZ-based company Guizhou Yudie Electric Co established the country's first intelligent cable production line integrating intelligent manufacturing and intelligent warehousing, and independently developed and built an unmanned three-dimensional warehouse.
Due to the high degree of automation in its intelligent manufacturing and its consistent product quality over the decades, Yudie has earned a solid reputation among consumers with a market share of 60 to 70 percent in Guizhou.
"We will continue to lead the development of the big data security industry, expand and strengthen the digital economy, and promote the comprehensive expansion and deep integration of digital technology in various fields," said Song Lei, deputy director of GETDZ's bureau of industry and information technology.
