The Guizhou Provincial Department of Science and Technology recently announced the list of winners of the 2021 Guizhou Provincial Science and Technology Award, with seven projects from the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, or GETDZ – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – making the cut.
One GETDZ project involved key technologies and applications for high-performance optical/electrical microwave signals generation and regulation, developed by the Guizhou Aerospace Metrology and Testing Technology Research Institute, Guizhou University and Tianjin University.
Other projects were related to the fields of intelligent measurements and control technology, microrectangular connector technology, as well as autonomous and controllable evaluation test technology for core aerospace components.
In order to promote innovation, the GETDZ is understood to have been proactive in developing a great creative environment for businesses in terms of policies and systems, stimulating the vitality of the scientific and technological innovation of enterprises.
The GETDZ rolled out 10 measures to further accelerate sci-tech innovation and promote high-quality economic development. It is widely believed that this played a positive role in promoting the growth and development of scientific and technological enterprises.
Moving forwards, plans are for the GETDZ to continue to encourage enterprises to strengthen their technological innovation. Furthermore, it will boost industry-university-research cooperation and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
