In 2021, 54 high-tech enterprises were approved in the Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ), bringing the total number of high-tech enterprises in the zone to 125.

In the past year, based on its own industrial development needs, GETDZ has actively promoted the high-quality development of high-tech enterprises in accordance with national, provincial and municipal science and technology development plans.
The zone has continuously improved the quality of regional scientific and technological innovation in terms of scientific and technological policy support, innovation platform construction, and innovation main body cultivation.
GETDZ rolled out 10 measures to further speed up technological innovation to promote high-quality economic development, creating a good innovation environment and increasing the vitality of scientific and technological innovation.
The zone also formed an enterprise comprehensive technological innovation index and used index ranking as an important basis for corporate financing and loans.
Regarding innovation platform construction, GETDZ has actively promoted the construction of national key laboratories, engineering technology centers and technological innovation centers in the zone.
It has also encouraged enterprises to participate in major scientific and technological projects and focuses on the construction of industrial technology innovation centers such as intelligent manufacturing and the hydrogen energy industry.
In addition, GETDZ encourages universities and research institutes inside and outside the province to carry out the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the zone, as well as enterprises and scientific research institutions to carry out industry-university-research cooperation.
