Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) is currently focusing on building a leading new-type industrialization development demonstration zone in Southwest China's Guizhou province by promoting new-type industrialization and accelerating the construction of a new high-end, intensive and green industrial system.

It has been proposed that by 2025, the added value of industries above a designated size in GETDZ should reach 50 billion yuan ($7.84 billion).
The zone will increase the total volume and speed up the adjustment of its industrial structure, promote the growth of a number of emerging industries with high technological content, and expand the scale of the advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronic information, and new energy automotive industries.
GETDZ will also continue to strengthen its investment promotion efforts. It will speed up investment promotion for the industrial chain and work to improve the construction machinery, aerospace, automobile, electronic information manufacturing, hydrogen energy, and medicine industrial chains.
GETDZ will also provide support through industrial land, financing services, plant construction, and talent guarantees, and will promote the continuous optimization of its business environment.
