Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) and Seazen Holdings Co Ltd (Seazen Holdings) signed an agreement at a ceremony on Nov 18 for the construction of the Wuyue plaza complex.
The plaza complex will be built in the zone -- located in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- at a cost of about 10 billion yuan ($1.52 billion) and will cover an area of 1.5 million square meters.
The complex will include a 100,000-sq m shopping center, a pedestrian street, international-standard star hotels, high-end housing, as well as complete education facilities from kindergarten to senior high school.
The complex will integrate catering, culture, entertainment, leisure and social networking and quality housing. It will fill a gap for a large-scale commercial complex in GETDZ and boost its commercial functions.
Moving forward, the zone will provide efficient administrative services for the construction of the complex, helping to ensure it will open on its target completion date of November 2022.
In recent years, the zone takes the integration of industries and city as the path, accelerating the construction of a hundred billion-level output development zone and the construction of a modern industrial new city in southern Guiyang.
The Wuyue plaza complex project is located in the future development core area of the zone, which is helpful to build a modern city suitable for living and working.
