The mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration base at Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) -- in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently received significant recognition.
The base was selected as a provincial-level innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration base, according to local media reports on Nov 2.
During its construction, the GETDZ continued to improve its policies and measures and formulated its science and technology innovation and entrepreneurship development plan for 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25).
It revised and improved fund management procedures, strengthened its support for major sci-tech innovation projects, issued measures to promote innovation and entrepreneurship and promoted its development as a modern industrial new city in southern Guiyang.
At the same time, it has improved its industry finance services system, created an industry financial platform and provided financial guarantees for innovative enterprises.
In addition, the zone has strengthened the cultivation of innovation and entrepreneurship platforms. It has promoted high-tech enterprises there, as well as innovation and entrepreneurship development platforms and a number of new R&D institutions.
It has improved its recruitment and education program and helped resident companies improve their collaborative development mechanisms for sci-tech innovation.
It has focused on the introduction and cultivation of top talent, accelerated the coordinated development of a "talent+industry+platform". And the zone has also created an environment conducive to talent introduction, talent cultivation and talent retention.
