A total of 14 industrial projects worth over 5 billion yuan ($717 million) were signed on Feb 28 during an online signing ceremony held in Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone (GETDZ) in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, according to GETDZ officials.
They said the projects were being developed by the advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronics information, health medicine and modern services industries.
Due to the current novel coronavirus outbreak the GETDZ has gone increasingly online and video to sign various deals.
Officials said that the zone has actively innovated investment promotions mode, strengthened its online investment promotions and communications – making contact with customers through channels such as WeChat, video, emails and phone calls to accelerate project signings.
Officials said it has successfully promoted a number of industrial projects to reach a consensus on cooperation.
Local officials said the zone would continue to strengthen its services to ensure these projects are completed.
It will also further optimize its business environment and promote one-stop affairs handling for industrial projects.
Officials said the zone will continue to promote the implementation, construction and production of signed projects as soon as possible.
It will promote the industrial development of the zone, while at the same time of ensuring the epidemic prevention work.
